Course Brief:
TPG Training are delighted to be named as the “North East Centre of Excellence” for OFFENDER I.D. SPRAY. It is the first accredited system for marking offenders at the scene, enabling them to be identified later, and forensically proving that they were there at the time of the offence. Each canister contains a unique redweb i-powder, which when deployed marks offenders with a bright red indelible biosynthetic DNA code.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the session delegates will be able to;
- Understand how the redweb™ product works to identify offenders;
- Explain the relevant laws regarding its use;
- Identify the basic component parts of the hand-held device;
- Show a practical understanding of how to use the device in stressful situations;
- Understand the importance of proper justification and reporting.
